Picturesque valleys, fields, and meadows are just waiting to be explored.  There are routes for proper cycling pro’s and for leisure cyclists, allowing for family adventures as well as athletic feats. And the view of the sparkling waters of the lake promises the perfect cool-down after your day in the saddle!

Start your cycling tour through this beautiful region of Carinthia right from our front door and simply drop off the bike when you’ve returned from your tour. Save yourself the hassle of bringing your own bike and use the rental station at the Seepark Wörthersee Resort.

If you’ve stayed with us before, you’ll know that we are happy to assist you with anything you need. If you prefer to bring your own bike, you are welcome to do so. The hotel offers a sufficient number of bike racks and garage bike parking facilities.  If you bring the right cover, you are even allowed to store your beloved two-wheeler in your room.

This is a popular trail that takes cyclists all the way around the lake, from the Seepark Wörthersee Resort in Klagenfurt via the northern lakeshore and all the way to Velden. The route also takes you through Pörtschach, the perfect place for taking a break. Stroll along the well-known lakeside promenade or take a dip in one of the lidos with fantastic views of the Karawanken mountains.

The route then continues towards Velden via Saag. Out of breath, or simply in the mood for a different means of transport? Then take the boat to return to Klagenfurt. If you’d rather stay in the saddle, continue along the Wörthersee Rundweg on the southern shore of the lake, via Maria Wörth and Reifnitz. The Lend canal will welcome you on your way back to the hotel.

The wider region of Klagenfurt harbours many great daytrip destinations and idyllic spots. By bicycle, you can reach the beautiful, historic Old Town in just a few minutes and enjoy its great mixture of old and modern architecture.

In the southwestern part of the Old Town, there are many attractions for you to discover, for instance the Neuer Platz. From here, you can walk up the city’s local mountain, the Kreuzbergl – one of Klagenfurt’s most popular attractions for locals and visitors alike.

Continue cycling past the Lend canal towards Lake Wörthersee, a route that will take you past magical spots with fabulous views. On the way back, heading towards the Seepark Wörthersee Resort, there is Viktring Abbey to discover.
